The title comes from the plural of spectrum, spectra, as an allusion to the gender spectrum and sexuality spectrum that has come to define the LGBTQIA+ community. This Pacemaker finalist magazine was produced, created and distributed by the LGBTQIA+ staffers of One
Blue Wall to curate and amplify the creative voices of LGBTQIA+ youth in Louisville.
The magazine features poetry, prose, and art of various mediums. To give back to the community, One Blue Wall, working alongside duPont Manual’s GSTA, has chosen six authors and artists whose content we found the most compelling, and thus have received
prize money. Spectra is a magazine made by the community, for the community, featuring exclusively LGBTQIA+ authors and artists and their queer-centric content.
