Untitled Poems
Untitled Poem (1)
Writing by Ally Hauber and Sloane Renike
Tasteless lies burning bright
But I was blinded by the light
Crystalline promises that once glistened
Dulled to stone the more I listened
Portraits hung on dirt and stone walls
The faces of strangers disappear when a curtain falls
Strangers you met and you thought you knew
Your memories gone with the wind that blew
What once was lost amidst the roses
Fades away like healed bruises
Untitled Poem (2)
Writing by Ally Hauber and Sloane Renike
The waves of emotions hit like a tsunami
You can feel the knots in your stomach tighten
Every time you hear that name
The words you want to say caught
In your timid expression
And pink hue of humility
To be this beautiful and sublime
Fascinated by the the overwhelmingly divine
You feel as if you have ascended
Your mortal mistakes washed away in the sea
Drowned by the crashing waves below
Voice and words stolen, or maybe just stowed
